| CONCESSION STAND WORKERS |
Fundraising is necessary for the operation of our band program. These funds pay for equipment truck rental for off-campus events, cleaning the stadium, maintenance of the concession stand, the purchase of band supplies, uniforms and instruments, maintenance of school-owned instruments and many other expenses. Concessions are our primary fundraiser and we must have a sufficient staff for each event.
An adult representing each student in the field show is REQUIRED for working in the concession stand at two (2) GHS Varsity home football games. Students not represented will be required to contribute or raise an additional $50 first semester.
Parents with Seniors will be allowed to work their two required shifts at either the JV or Bragg games. Also, students will be allowed to work one (1) shift only at either a JV or Bragg game for a $20 credit to their account.
Nancy Faris will schedule your volunteer shifts. Concession assignments will be distributed at the mandatory meeting in August and also posted on the Band website and e-mail reminders will be sent to you if you have registered to receive them. If you are unable to work your scheduled shift, it is your responsibility to provide a substitute.
Remember - you either earn it or pay it! Participating in Booster events can greatly reduce your "out of pocket" expenses. Most importantly it shows our children that you CARE about the activities they are involved in!
| CHAPERONE GUIDELINES |
Welcome Chaperones!
What a privilege it is to serve our students in such a meaningful way. Our band consistently produces excellent music and half time shows. It would not be possible without the large number of chaperones who volunteer each year. As chaperones, our primary function is the safety of our children. Please take a moment to review the following guidelines:
• Chaperones should arrive at GHS at the same time as the students.
• Please wear your band shirt or a maroon shirt if possible.
• Your bus and job assignment along with your name tag will be with the
head chaperone in the band room next to the uniform room.
• One chaperone per bus will be assigned Lead chaperone of that bus.
• Once all the students are on the bus, the lead chaperone will take roll
while another chaperone takes a head count. Next, remind the students
that they need their music, instrument, black socks, and shoes.
• Bus Captains takes roll while someone else does a head count.
• Once we arrive back at the school, students will quickly exit the buses.
Please take a moment to remove trash and lost items from the bus.
