Explanation of Categories
Field Show – Used for all marching band related expenses.
Uniform Rental & Cleaning – Charge for maintenance of existing uniforms as well as having the uniforms dry cleaned during the school year.
Transportation – Charge to cover costs of buses and equipment trucks to and from games and competitions.
Students who have not paid their Gardendale Band Dues (or made other arrangements), as well as those on extended payment plans whose payments are not up-to-date, will not be issued a band uniform, be allowed to participate in the Spring Trip or be allowed to attend the band banquet. NO EXCEPTIONS! Returned checks will now be collected by Nexcheck.
Musicians are required to have black Bando or Drillmaster band shoes for all performances. A sales representative will be available at Band Camp for fitting and shoes may be ordered at that time, with delivery to the school before the first performance.
Please do not send cash to pay band dues – check, money order, or PayPal is the preferred way of making payments. Always make checks or money orders payable to Gardendale Band Boosters, include written communication as to what the funds are paying, and write what the payment is for on the memo portion of the document, also place in an envelope with your students name written on the outside. To ensure that your payments are posted promptly, please send them by mail to:
GHS Band Boosters P.O. Box 185 Gardendale, AL 35071
Payments sent with your student should be placed in an envelope with the student name on the outside, following the procedure above. Make sure that you get a receipt from the Band Director or Band Boosters treasurer. Receipts are usually posted on the uniform room windows.
Please do not send payments to the Gardendale High School office
Please Note: You have two (2) weeks to dispute any invoices you receive.

Musicians are required to wear a gray t-shirt, shorts, white gloves (for field shows and parades only), black calf-length socks, and their band shoes each time the uniform is worn. Musicians will be issued one pair of gloves and socks at the beginning of each season.
We will no longer be selling socks; gloves may be purchased on a cash only basis for $ 3.00. These can no longer be charged to your students account. Please ensure that your student has everything they need or they will not be allowed to march at halftime.
The band uniforms are cleaned as needed and stored in the uniform room for issue to the students before each performance. After the performance, the students are required to replace the uniform properly on the hanger, place it in the GHS Band garment bag and return it to the uniform room before they have permission to leave the band room.
